Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, father of Afrobeats superstar Davido, has addressed the long-running paternity controversy surrounding his son, shedding light on allegations of impersonation and misinformation on social media.
According to Dr. Adeleke, controversial social media commentator Kemi Olunloyo allegedly impersonated Anu and her mother online, using their identities to solicit money and spread false narratives. He claimed that these actions contributed significantly to the confusion and public speculation surrounding the case.
Dr. Adeleke further revealed that, through claims circulated by Kemi Olunloyo, it was alleged that the child, Anu, might not be Davido’s biological daughter but instead that of B-Red, Davido’s cousin. These allegations prompted extensive efforts to establish the truth.
To resolve the matter, Dr. Adeleke disclosed that multiple DNA tests were conducted. Davido reportedly carried out three separate DNA tests, while B-Red underwent two, all in a bid to clear doubts and put the rumors to rest.
Speaking amid the controversy, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke emphasised the emotional and reputational toll the allegations had taken on the family, while reaffirming their commitment to transparency and truth.
